Your bike rides on Mastodon — beautifully.
Connect Strava or upload a FIT/GPX file. Bikeodon generates a route map, heart rate chart, and power analysis, then posts everything to your Mastodon account with one click. A private training dashboard is included.
What is Mastodon?
Mastodon is a free, open-source social network — like Twitter/X but decentralised. Instead of one company controlling everything, thousands of independent servers (instances) run the same software and talk to each other. You own your account and your data. No algorithm, no ads, no engagement bait.
Communities form around shared interests — cycling, running, photography, tech. Posting your rides there means your followers see exactly what you share, nothing more, nothing less.
How Bikeodon fits in
Bikeodon is a self-hosted bridge between your training data and your Mastodon account. Bring activities in via Strava (automatic webhook) or by uploading FIT, GPX, or TCX files directly. Bikeodon then:
- Renders a route map from the GPS track
- Generates HR and power zone charts where the data exists
- Computes TSS / hrTSS and tracks fitness (CTL / ATL / TSB)
- Builds a Critical Power model from your mean maximal power curve
- Posts to Mastodon with a fully customisable text template
Everything runs on your own server — a single Oracle Cloud free-tier VM handles it comfortably. See DEPLOY.md for step-by-step instructions.
